Preparing Young Learners for Kindergarten Success
Children in our pre-K program learn to independently pursue exciting new activities while honing their social skills for cooperation and collaboration. Our goal is to set your child up for lifelong learning and success.
Program Structure and Curriculum
Literacy and Language Development
Our pre-K program includes activities that target vocabulary, phonemic awareness, and early reading skills. We introduce kids to storytelling through engaging age-appropriate tales. Your child will also practice letter recognition and delve into book reading. Our preschoolers graduate with well-rounded literacy skills that give them a head start in kindergarten.
Early Math and Science Exploration
We provide hands-on math and science activities for real-world engagement in these key areas. Your child will practice counting, shape recognition, and pattern making. We reinforce these basic math concepts through interactive lessons. Our curriculum includes simple science experiments that demonstrate basic principles and introduce children to the fascinating concepts found in the world around them.
Social and Emotional Skills
In addition to pre-K academic readiness programs, we also dedicate time and attention to the essential areas of social and emotional skills. We place an emphasis on teamwork, sharing, and empathy. Through collaborative group activities, our preschoolers learn how to appropriately express emotions and work together to resolve conflicts. This type of kindergarten preparation equips your little one with the skills they'll need to successfully navigate increasingly complex social situations as they progress into elementary school.
Creative Expression and Arts
We integrate art projects into our pre-k curriculum to inspire creativity and imaginative thinking. Our program also includes music, dance, and dramatic play. These creative arts double as opportunities for physical activity as your child learns to move their body to the rhythm, manipulate simple instruments, and follow coordinated dance steps.
Learning Environment and Classrooms
We’ve prioritized safety in the design of our learning environment, so your child is always secure on our campus.
Engaging, Safe Classrooms for Inclusive Learning
At The Learning Tree Academy, we have colorful, well-equipped classrooms, and both indoor and outdoor play areas for physical activity and robust engagement. We regularly change our classroom displays and materials to keep children intrigued and interested.

Daily Routine and Structure
Group Activities – Circle Time and Collaborative Learning
Children learn together as they participate in circle time, group learning sessions, and collaborative projects.
Individualized Learning Opportunities
Your child will enjoy personalized attention thanks to our small class size. Each child gets one-on-one time with their teacher to address their unique learning needs.
Outdoor Play and Physical Activity
We understand the extreme importance of physical play in your child’s day. Our schedule includes active time that’s dedicated to developing motor skills while fostering social interaction.
Rest and Relaxation
Our pre-K students each have a quiet place to nap or rest at the appointed time each day. If your child can’t fall asleep, they may get up and engage in quiet play after 30 minutes of lying down to rest.
